Kevin Crossley-Holland: Waterslain Angels

On the 26th January I wrote a letter to a author called Kevin Crossley-Holland - basically all it was,  was tons and tons of compliments about his book 'Waterslain Angels'.

On the 2nd February I got a card  back from him:

On the back of it was a paragraph saying 'The hammerbeam roof of St. Mary's Church, South Creake, North Norfolk, is enhanced by 22 carved angels(which is what the book is about, 2 children looking for those missing Angels) Which were installed to celebrate Henry V's victory at Agincourt in 1415'.

This book is based on a true story, the angels were taken  down 'cause of the war so they hid  them and forgot where they had hidden them. So It is down to Annie and her friend to find them.

What I think is good about 'Waterslain Angels' is the Adventures they have together  finding the missing Angels. It's QUITE  AMAZING how one book can make you want to read it forever. It was very hard to give it back to the Suffolk County Council Library.

Kevin Crossley-Holland is a great Author because of his Exciting language  like 'All of a sudden' and 'A gust of Water completely Knocked  them of their feet'.

My favorite characters are  Alan leppard and Annie Carter Because  she is very adventurous. She does not care if she is almost drowned to death. Where ever she may be she is always smiling. On the other hand there's Alan Leppard he is always smirking and sneering in the shadows and probably plotting. He is a real Grease monkey.

In my card back from Kevin Crossley-Holland gave me all kinds of hints and tips about writing, which was great. He is the ULTIMATE author.
